Who Are We:  Foundry UMC’s Jesus And Me (“J.A.M.”) Club. We are a high-octane group of first through fifth grade boys and girls in elementary school who enjoy learning about Jesus, His love for us, and coming to our Church home to see our Church family weekly.

When Do We Meet:  We meet each Sunday morning from 9:30-11:00 A.M. in the Sunday School classroom at the end of the hall in the Adult Wing.

What Do We Do:  We open and close in child-led prayer.  We have a 15-20 minute Bible lesson with a workbook  or similar print materials to build on our Bible literacy, foundations, and awareness.  We follow-up our Bible lesson with a time of sharing of praises and concerns and then focus on fun and fellowship.  We play Bible-themed games and fast-paced fun activities to reinforce our weekly Bible lessons.  We also do arts and crafts for the sick, grieving, and deployed members of our congregation and based on the events in the Church calendar or holiday.  We role play and act out the Scriptures and stories we learn. If you enjoy laser tag, gamer buses, water balloons, dart gun battles, making crafts, doing minute-to-win-it challenges and relays, role plays, and laughing with your fellow classmates, we welcome you to join us in JAM!  We would love to have you join us.

What Makes Us Special:  JAM emphasizes community service projects in our Church family and greater Virginia Beach community by participating in Samaritan Purse’s annual Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes of blessings campaign worldwide.  We strive for 150-250+ boxes to be filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items each year for our Church and community contribution to this permanent worldwide mission project.
