Ministries & Outreach Programs
Foundry is pleased to offer several ministries to enhance our church and community.Anyone 55 or older is welcome to become "keen". The group has monthly meetings or trips, devotionals, church participation projects, fund-raisers, crafts, sharing and caring, fellowship and fun.

Regular meetings at the church for food, fellowship, devotion, outreach and support for church activities. The United Methodist Men sell Christmas Trees in December to raise money for missions.

This group of men meets weekly to provide prayer and personal support for men who desire to lead their lives and families according to God's direction. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Varsity Youth is for grades 9-12 and Junior Varisty (JV) is for grades 6-8. The groups meet weekly to encourage one another through friendship and fun, as well as to learn how to deepen their relationships with Christ through learning and service. Overnight retreats, mission work, and just plain fun activities are added to the weekly schedule to provide a well-rounded experience for young people.

Foundry Young Adults (FYA) is a group for young adults (ages 18-35). The group provides emotional support, teaching and learning opportunities, as well as time for fellowship. The Sunday school class is currently studying the basics of the world's religions. The class not only rotates topics but also takes turns preparing the material and leading the discussion for the class. Come join this exciting movement in the church!

The members of Foundry work in partnership with The Virginia Beach Covenant, a group of about 23 local faith communities, businesses and others, to build homes for qualified people in need. Not only does our church provide funding, but we also provide administrative help and hands-on construction. You can be a part of this team too! Habitat for Humanity is a world-wide ministry of God's people.

Meals on Wheels provides meals to people who cannot prepare food for themselves. Our team transports the meals to individuals on a monthly basis.

Foundry provides the dinner for all those who come to the Virginia Beach Shelter one night every eight weeks. You can sign up to provide part of the menu as well as to serve food.

Prison ministries are important to the people of Foundry. We provide Bibles to inmates for their personal use and for Chaplain-led Bible studies. Foundry also supports the families of those who are incarcerated by driving them to see their loved ones in prison one Saturday every other month.

A program to help husbands and wives grow closer as a couple, to take a good marriage relationship and make it stronger, richer and more intimate by improving communication. Regular Marriage Encounter weekends are scheduled throughout the year.

In October, Foundry sells pumpkins to raise money for World Service Missions. Volunteers to unload the trucks, run the patch, and schedule workers are always needed.

Foundry has both Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops that meet at the church each week. We are pleased to be a part of their ministry to strengthen youth in both skill and character.
